I mean disappointed in the framing job. Its not exactly high quality. I kinda feel like a guy who just bought a high end sports car but is using generic motor oil haha.. well not that bad.

But i know sometimes when I collect something or have a passion for something and i see someone not take it as seriously as I do at times i can cringe.

Id like to get nicer frames but I kinda hit a rough spot financially. This credit just fell in my lap and those wired are starting to bug me LOL. Since I am in an apartment I cant exactly hide the wires too well.

Thats good to hear and thank you. Do you know him/her from the poster business? My whole deal is it might say its original... but aside from the tips from you its not like I can spot a fake once it arrives.

I just ordered things from ebay labled brand new and it arrives opened or something. The seller will state to me later on "yeah but it was never watched".

I really hate ebay and only use it as a last resort. But yeah thanks for all your help man. Oh and 1 one do you have of the few I listed?

I don't know them personally and I don't deal with them but I believe they offer originals, as I know people who have bought from them and were happy. I do agree, it can be difficult to spot originals from reproductions but most, if not all, the double-sided movie posters that are coming out of studios nowadays (and over the past few years) have the lighter back side to them that I mentioned to you before. It is very hard, probably impossible, for a reprinter to replicate that process. The front is vibrant and coloful, the backside is still double-sided but "faded" compared to the front.

eBay is full of a lot of people who are not honest with their listings, be it for movie posters or any thing else. And many don't know how to package their items to avoid damage. But if you get something that is not as it should be (meaning something is damaged upon delivery or is open when it should be sealed), then file a complaint with eBay and Paypal.

Thats what I thought once upon a time too.
However after opening a claim they give the seller 2 weeks to reply before paypal will make a decision. Should they decide in your favor you need to pay to find time and go to the local post office to send the item back to the seller. You need to pay for a shipping option that provides a tracking number as well. Then submit the tracking number to paypal so they know you mailed it out to the seller. Paypal then checks in once in a while until the item arrives then grants you a refund but will not compensate for the shipping cost to mail the damaged/mis listed item back.

Because of this is why I rarely use ebay anymore. I once ordered 2 steelbook dvds from over seas and had to pay $36 bucks to ship the items back because they arrived loose in the case due to inadequate packaging.

I also bought a 300 DVD gift set with a replica Spartan helmet that arrived opened but since the DVD inside was sealed the seller labled it brand new and sealed. To me if the outer seal is broken the item is no longer factory sealed no matter how many items inside were still sealed. The helmet was also broken upon arrival. I just bit the bullet on that one and glued the helmet back to the base. This is why I have doubles of so many limited editions DVDs in my gallery.

Just bought 5 posters from Jon. Was a great pleasure to do business with and was just interesting to get to talk to him. Very knowledgeable about the industry and I look forward to purchasing more posters from him. Very honest and straight forward, which I really appreciate.

Thanks for the kind words Thai, I appreciate it. I try my best to be as open and honest with my customers, explaining the smallest of differences between posters. Honesty is always the best policy when it comes to any business practice, sadly, not all in the poster industry feel the same way I do.

I believe Thai picked up some frames on sale at Michael's Arts & Crafts for only $9.99 each for 27x40. That is quite a savings off their regular price if memory serves me correctly. I imagine he will post some photos up here of the posters he got from me soon.

Yup, that's exactly what I did. They're super cheap, obviously not great quality, but they're cheap. I'll put up some photos after I hang them up.

And for those of you who are into movie posters and want an inexpensive frame, it sounds like Michael's Arts & Craft stores have them as Thai mentioned for $9.99, not sure how long, but I "think" the regular price is around $25-$30 each. Check your local stores if you have any....

Yeah the regular price is $29.99. I think all their cheap frames of all sizes are $9.99 until the 18th.

yeah when I looked they were like 20-30 each depending on quality. My fram is really a picture frame for a dozen 5x7 pictures. I just kept the cardboard divider behind the poster to help prop it up flat. But it was still 15 bucks

I wish I knew about this yesterday. I spent the funny money from this weeks check on the harry potter years 1-5 blu ray set on sale at amazon for 57 bucks yesterday.

I just got back from Michaels and the sale is on specific ones near me. The 9.99 poster frame sale ends on sat. they gave me a coupon good for 20% off on Sunday from 4PM-8PM.

The frames I got for 9.99 were regularly marked 29.99. They seem quite cheap in all honesty.and the black frame itself is 1/2" thick at most. Not much to them. I cant believe they sell these things for 30 usually. I feel like i might return them. I want to see how the posters look inside them before I decide though. I think the 3 I just ordered should be in today.

They had some nice ones from a brand called trendsetters they went for 39.99 but they weret included in the 9.99 selection. 40 bucks is also out of my price range too.

Anyways guys thanks for the heads up, i appreciate it!! I hope they look better on the wall then i am expecting.

I just got 8 original posters from my local theater for 5 dollars a piece. They were recent movies but it was a good deal and for charity. If anyone has a regal theater nearby they may have them but I am not sure. I live in the town where regal is based so I don't know if it is available elsewhere. I will try to get pics once I get some frames.

They look pretty good with the cheap Michael's frames... well better then I thought. I even went back and got a rain check for 4 more frames at the $9.99 price so Ill have them when future purchases come in. As I am sure ill be getting a few more at some point.
