still, 125 number gets me worried.

I'm worried about HP support to HD DVD as well. Have voiced my protest to them, but did not received an answer

True but lets face it Fox might as well have said "more titles in Q4 than in Q1... put together.." considering how little they shipped in the last to quarters..

110 titles announced, not including Harry Potter or Ocean's, and counting boxsets as 1 title (no matter what's in them)

A few questions about CEDIA in general.

*This is a hardware & installation show so is it safe to assume none of the supporting BDA studios will be present?

*Yesterday's press conference with Sony was Sonly alone and not a joint BDA presser? Hence no mention of upcoming disc releases

*If above is correct we will not hear any software announcements this weekend?

I believe the problem is that you are uneasy, because with every little positive news item there is for hd-dvd, there is some idiot like Rob Enderle spouting the end of Blu-ray. It isn't who is ahead during one moment of the race, it's who finishes first at the end. As much as we are emotionally involved with Blu winning, Philips, Sony, and others are even more so. They are thinking long and hard about what to do to win. At some point we are all going to have to let what happens happen, because all we can do is support Blu and buy Blu.

People are there, they're just not the frontliners and may not have a presentation

I think the 125 is mainly paramount (those incredible pricks) I don't trust paramount anymore, even if they go back to Blu.

some will be Universal. I;m not sure if many of them are from WB. I may be wrong.

Looks like about 70 of those could be WB-titles also being released for Blu-ray. Take a look at Warners HighDef homepage. Blu-ray already have about 80 titles scheduled. If Warner do release all the titles on their homepage and Fox, Sony, MGM, Lionsgate, Genius and maybe even Weinstein schedule more titles for Blu-ray it could mean more than 160 titles for Blu-ray.

Toshiba has ALWAYS had cheaper players. Has it helped improve their sales over BD? Keep in mind, CEDIA is a high end show.

Default Some corrections...

As an installer, I don't consider CEDIA to be a "high end" show. While it's true that you can find the Denon $7k preamp on display, you can also find their $250 receiver on display too. You can see their $2k BD player on display, but Sony has the S300 also featured. Installers need to be able to have access to all price points. It's true you won't find any no-name $30 DVD players, but I don't consider CEDIA to be only "high end".

The HD DVD group shared a press conference with Toshiba. Sony talked about BD at their press event, but it was really about them and BD. There was a BDA press lunch yesterday (Friday) where the studio execs mingled with the press talking up BD and explaining why they support it, why they will win the war, etc, but there were no "press releases" or announcements made there.

This is the videophile market. People buy hi-def because they want the best possible picture. Who is going to buy a no name Chinese player expecting a state of the art experience? Who wants a Venturer player sitting next to their new Bravia or Aquos hdtv?
People won't be picking up a cheapo hd-dvd player for $200 with $35 movies on the shelf next to it. The hd-dvd camp is desperately trying to keep their base positive by spinning bs that is spilling over into the blu-ray crowd as well.
Come on people we have the vast majority of studio, and manufacturer support, as well as sales. Let them cling to their silly, fictitious replication stuff, attach rates, and junk players.
