Exclamation Why's Transformer trailer still in the PlayStation Store?

Hi all,

I have a PS3 and this disturb me a little bit. The movie trailer "Transformer" can still be downloaded from the Sony network PlayStation store. I don't like that movie trailer being there because it might cause a misunderstanding to many consumers who has a PS3 (who isn't aware of the Paramount turning over the HD-DVD) that the Transformer movie can be purchased in Blu-ray format.

Should we write complains to the Sony network and ask them to remove the Transformer trailer? I believe this could piss off many Blu-ray owners who's actually waiting for the Transformer on the release day but suddenly got to know it's only coming to HD-DVD BUT they've watched the trailer from the PlayStation Store. Hope you guys know what I mean here right? For some this could cause a misunderstanding or worse a feel of betrayal.

In advance thanks for all your reply.

The problem mate is that just like any other deal Sony can't just pull the plug (despite the irony there I agree) when they want to. Paramount would have paid money to have the Transformers trailer advertised on the PS 3 store. It's not directly under any "Blu-ray" trailers just "Theatrical". I do agree that really it should be taken off but it's a no go I'm afraid and to be fair the majority of users that actually a)even know that they can go online with a PS 3 and b)even know that the PS 3 is capable of Blu-ray playback.. are only a minority. The majority of users have'nt got a clue unfortunately..

you want to know why transformers is still in the playstation store? its cause ps store releases aren't mentioned in the 150 million dollar HD DVD/paramount contract.

Because they will still be released on Blu-ray at some point in time.

im not really trying to be funny, this is the reason. paramount still wants to support blu-ray, they just want the 150 million dollars more, now if they can indirectly support some type of hd through the ps3 and still be within the boundries of the contract they will do that.
