I hope the O's/ Redsox could swing a good deal but I'm sure they'd ask a HUGE price to trade him in the division.

But if I had to pick my super trade so I never had to worry about him again (except the 1 or 2 times he'd pitch for the inter league) would be trade him to the nationals

People with no trade clauses don't accept trades to the Nationals

. I think the only team that has a legitimate chance for Halladay is the Phillies. Half their pitchers are on the DL, and they have the pieces necessary to get him, but it doesn't sound like they're making much of an effort. I expect him to get traded this winter for much less than they could get now.

He'll stay a Blue Jay, and they'll trade him in December for half of what they could have gotten now.

Hard to say for sure because some teams could make trades and lose players by then. It's also not impossible that either the Blue Jays or the Phillies could cave and get the deal done now. It doesn't make sense for the Blue Jays to keep him as they aren't going to the postseason so they should get the best deal possible now. If the Phillies get him they probably become the front-runner in the NL for this year and next year but they shouldn't get rid of all their best prospects like the Blue Jays are asking for. Not that it really matters, but why wouldn't they already be the front-runner for the NL this year?

Personally, I didn't like any of the trade offers for Halladay. Giving up Happ & change for him just keeps the rotation on par where it is right now. Hopefully the addition of Pedro and readdition of Myers will give the pitching the boost it needs.

I've been offline for most of the weekend and everytime I go on ESPN.com I keep expecting to see "Halladay dealt to ________". As a Jays fan I remain torn, but have accepted it now, especially when you look at how he has played versus the rest of the team. He deserves better.

I'd like to see him go to the Phillies or Cubs since I have ties to those cities and could likely catch a game there.

Cubs ownership situation is too uncertain to take on a salary like Halladay's, plus they have drafted poorly over the years and likely don't have the prospects to get him. Dodgers are talking to the Blue Jays but nothing substantial has occurred.
