What's wrong with working with Kadokawa versus say another big Japanese company like Toei?

Toei's contracts are 4 pages long. Kadokawa's are 50.

Plus Toei are a lot more reasonable in terms of not just prices, but the costs you're allowed to have for the sake of distributing a film. For the Kadokawa Obayashi titles, they would not allow me to recoup any costs for distribution (so, no costs allows for BBFC certification, subtitling, not even costs for advertising, etc) which makes it very hard to make money as you need to pay them a share of sales without even being able to recoup the costs required to distribute the films.

Toei changed their tactics a few years ago to work well with foreign distributors. Kadokawa did not.

Again, going by JustWatch, the only Third Window title that Arrow US has that UK doesn't is A Snake of June, and the only other Japanese language film that it has that the UK doesn't is Vital.

Overall the UK site has 173 Japanese language films and the US has 119. They both have Anatomia Extinction, which hasn't had a UK release and the US release was from Error4444 and is OOP.

Probably plenty of other differences across the rest of the non Japanese movies though, and their selections get updated monthly.

The other place you'll find Third Window is Terracotta's streaming service. JustWatch haven't added them so this list might not be complete but I can see:

They took over a week between charging me and shipping for my pre-order of Carlito's Way...apparently it's normal from them (I don't usually pre-order from them).
