Jokes aside, I wish the restorers would go back and clean up one frame at a time instead of using AI to batch edit.

No, but I'm verr much looking forward to it. Will have to wait until well after Chrimbo however as the UK edition isn't out until then.

I’m just basing it on this cap alone, but I think it is the best ive seen it look. It still looks more natural compared to the 4K disc.

"It was important to get it just right because, theoretically, we shouldn't have to do it again," Cameron mused. "4K is sufficiently above the innate resolution of the photochemistry of that period. Are we going to do 8K? 12K? You're going to see the grain more clearly. I think this is it, so we wanted to do it and do it right, and that's taken some time."

Landau and Cameron have approved the 4K remasters, but have the stars of The Abyss, Titanic, or True Lies seen the restored versions of their iconic works?

"I told Arnold (Schwarzenegger) that we were doing it, and I made it available; whether he saw it pre-release or not, I don't know," Cameron said. "Kate (Winslet) participated with Jon in talking about Titanic 25 years later, but she doesn't like to watch the film, so I would say probably not in her case."

ALIENS most definitely had a 70MM 6-track Dolby Stereo Surround mix. Left, Center, Right, Surround, Baby Boom 1 & 2 (bass) discrete. Quite powerful.
