Default HDAddicts.com has some imports for pre-order

This is a little heads-up for those of us in North America wanting some Blu-ray imports. HDAddicts.com just sent me an email confirming that they have the following UK Blu-ray imports available for pre-order:

1. The Crow (ready to ship on October 10th) $39.95
2. Starship Troopers (ready to ship on September 24th) $39.95
3. Face/Off (ready to ship on October 10th) $39.95
4. The Island (ready to ship on September 18th) $36.95

This is a good site to order from if you don't want to order from overseas and wait a long time for your movie to arrive. They also take Paypal as payment which is an extra added protection in my opinion.

Update: Hold off on ordering for a day or two as they're trying to get them from an alternate source as well, so they could drop a few dollars of those prices.

If I remember the person who runs HDAddicts.com is a member of Blu-ray.com. He is from Canada I think. If this is the same site/person then he seems very reliable and helpful to us Blu-ray fans. Someone please correct me if I am wrong.

But the question I have is what are the specs of these imports? Or better is there any reviews for these particular titles? If they are region A, with PCM audio and decent PQ then I would be very interested in some of these titles.

HDAddicts do their research prior to selling any imports. They ONLY sell Blu-rays that play on US and Canadian players.

As far as specs are concerned, you can check any UK sites that sell these titles for audio/video specs. So far, HDAddicts only imported Blu-rays from the UK.

Haddicts is a good site for the imports....great prices and he runs specials on shipping to the US that make it even better....the Island price is 7 cheaper than amazon.uk when i bought mine and i think that the price has gone up $6 since then. Defintely good news as I will pic up starship and the crow for sure

The Crow is not compatible with Region A players.

It's not that it's not compatible, but rather that it's not a 1080p hi-def transfer. Also, if you go to Amazon.co.uk, you can see that it says the movie is all region.

Great news. I'll order The Island once the possible price update comes through.

Can you point me to the Amazon listing, because I can't find it.
The LiesInc site doesn't care about 1080p or 1080i, it only states whether or not it will play in Region A players and it says no.

I recommand Starship Trooper! Very high Bitrate AVC and superb PCM track. The Island is very solid too , even if it got a couple of instance of blocking...

I would love to get these. But at those prices, maybe not.

I already got it from the UK myself (Sendit.com).

But, I have bought many titles from HDAddicts, including The Rock (awesome BTW!)

Yeah, I know some of these titles are already out in the UK, but that's what I like about HDAddicts, they want to make sure they only import Blu-rays that will work on North American players. It's worth the little extra wait.
