I know that a lossy track should not sound better in theory but let me give you an example: on the dvd of X-MEN 2 the dts track just sounds the same as the DTS track on the blu-ray, i know the bit-rate is about 6x higher on the blu-ray but to me personally i can't hear a difference not that i care because it sounds fantastic anyway.
