I am surprised (and kind of glad) that they're following the pattern/design of the other steelbooks. Mostly because studios usually don't care to do that.

Personally I do not have the space for 6 amarays and would prefer something like 1 amaray box with all discs, but, I know Warner is not gonna add the original Blu rays for comparison, or make an ugly cover for the boxset, so I guess I'll still have to wait for a really cheap sale on all steelbooks.

If you're still 100% supportive of physical media, don't you want the best quality possible?
Wouldn't surprise me if they ditch blu ray and just do 4k/DVD combos to cater for both ends of the market and force people either to downscale or upscale.

Or, do the DVD + Blu-ray + 4K + Digital inside a DVD case ridiculousness that (nobody asked for and) Paramount has started doing.

Gonna hold out to see what the UK singles look. If they match the others, I get those. If this box set ends up looking good, we'll go that way.

Now I'm glad I held off on the first set. Didn't have to wait too long for this either

Count me as another who likes Rocky V as is.

In fact, I still don't understand why so many people hate it.

I'm thinking it probably has to do with Rocky having to retire from boxing due to his brain issues and him going broke because of Paulie. The movie is probably very depressing for a lot of people which makes them hate it.

Will wait for the standard releases to go along with the I-IV set.

Personally, I didn't dislike Rocky V, but it was the end of the franchise for a long time and it didn't live up to that. Everything came together to make an ok film, but it wasn't a great Rocky movie and it stood out because it was the last one.

Once I saw Rocky Balboa and the great way they ended the series, it made Rocky V appear better as part of the complete story. Rocky Balboa was a fantastic way to end the series, very satisfying, Rocky V completely misses that while not doing anything spectacular with the characters or the story...... it's just ok.

While I would like to see a new cut for Rocky V, I don't see how it would ultimately change my view on it. Unlike Rocky Balboa which improved my view on Rocky V...... and I'll be happy to have Rocky V on 4K

What are the issues with the other 4K releases? As soon as I saw Rocky I-IV collection I had zero interest in coughing up for it until they had all six films available.

I also loves me some Rocky V. I wore out the rental VHS from the small town that I lived in when it was released.

iirc, it's that there's no original audio for Rocky (the mono track present is a downmix) and Rocky II has pitch issues that sound like they came from a PAL to NTSC conversion.

My wish that it's not gonna happen: Rocky I-Balboa set in 4K UHD+BD in amaray set with everything fixed and covers that don't suck.

Weird looking steelbook or no, I'm very happy for a standalone Balboa. Rocky V can live happily as a blu-ray.

Shocked and thrilled to see such positivity towards Rocky V. It's not the best, but I've always had a soft spot for it and I love how they switched up the big, climactic fight.

I always jokingly called the Rocky of III and IV "Professor Balboa" and couldn't understand how a championship belt could suddenly make him smarter, so I love the return of the slower, sweeter Rocky we get in V.

Love Rocky V. It’s actually my favorite Rocky film despite what anyone else thinks.
