Agree 100%. This set is the kind of thing I love about collecting...even most die-hard movie/TV fans would probably never even be aware of a set like this and I find it a fascinating piece of history.

I always thought it was only for Criterion Channel charter subscribers (i.e. those who have had the service since it was launched). Maybe they've expanded the codes to others, which is fine - I'm just happy to receive them, and certainly don't subscribe just to get the codes!

I didn't subscribe until their black friday sale price last year, and this is the second time I've gotten a code from them

Some of us got $10 codes this time last year who are not subscribers at all. Perhaps it's like airline upgrades where they sometimes pick customers at random?

I have been active on their mailing list for way over a decade and I still get the codes. But I do not get the codes days earlier like the Criterion Channel subscribers, I get it by e-mail the night before.

Thanks for the recommendations, I too have been eyeing this set for a while but haven't pulled the trigger. Maybe I'll pick it up this time around.
