I got a charge for the Capra 4k massive set. That is over a month away from release date. Not sure if that means I will get it early or not. No rush on my part, just didn't expect a charge this soon.

Whatever company is handling target's media orders now strikes again. Neither Signs nor The Sixth Sense arrived with slips. Ours shipped a few days late, so maybe covered copies were in extremely short supply and they already ran out. Though, that doesn't explain why other preorders, namely from Shout, that have arrived on time were missing their slips too. Hopefully they're not deliberating tossing them to avoid complaints when they inevitably get smashed in the ridiculous ravioli mailers they insist on using.

From 2 orders that I received two weeks ago (placed during Target B2G1), none of these 4K movies came with slips besides Chronicles of Riddick (wrap over slip):

South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut
Team America: World Police
Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire (Slip unlikely, 5 months after release?)
Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy
Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street
Batman (1989)(This is an old movie, highly doubt slips are still printed)

I just received my 2 movies, Sixth and Sings and like you neither had slips. But did receive my 3rd movie to complete the sale earlier in the week, To Catch a Thief, and this did have a slip

We got one for Sweeney Todd, but not for Godzilla. Both ordered from target's last bogo.

I thought the Paramount Presents line was safe, since those always come wrapped, until we got a rewrapped copy of Blue Hawaii from target a few months back without a cover.

Early Black Friday 2024 Preview

During the week of Sunday, Nov. 24th through Saturday, Nov. 30th, Target stores will be putting out various displays, standees, pallets, shippers, etc. throughout the sales floor with items spanning multiple departments.

Among those will be a single shipper dedicated to movies. Specifically what Target is classifying as “Top Movies”, and should be a single-sided cardboard display with 20 slots, meaning 20 movies. Titles unknown, formats unknown, and prices unknown at this moment. Again, this should be out in your local stores in the week leading into Thanksgiving/Black Friday.

Also want to provide some quick info regarding this year’s holiday price match policy:

Holiday Price Match Policy

Nov. 7 - Dec. 24th: Target will match the lowest price in-store or at Target.com on qualifying items all season long.
• No blackout period in price matching competitors.
• Keep in mind that the Holiday Price Match Policy may be the better option for those looking for an even exchange (if item is now on sale)

Target Circle Price Match:
• Target Circle Deals/Bonuses cannot be combined with Price Match; One or the other
• Target Circle members can receive a price adjustment on purchases made between 11/7 and 12/24 if the item is on a current Target Circle Deal. (Only applicable for item-specific deals)

My Hellraiser Quartet arrived in one of those cardboard book mailer type things, where there's an inside cardboard that folds over the item and then the outside cardboard that folds over that. Never seen that from Target before. Usually they just send stuff in an oversized box.

Definitely possible as “our” Black Friday this year since Best Buy’s status is uncertain. That specific week I won’t know until 2-3 weeks prior to BF.

I’ve got the “deals” for the first week of November and nothing there either. I’ll be posting that one in a bit.

For those who preordered Addams Family Values during their bogo or before, the price must have dropped since then, as target's sending out auto-refunds on that one. Ours was just 15 cents; I'm not sure if how close in price you paired the other two titles in your order has anything to do with the refund amount. I paired it with two other titles that were the same or at least within a buck or so of the price.

Same happened to me, but I think To Catch a Thief was sealed outside the slipcover. So they couldn't remove it. Although mine arrived without a digital copy insert inside the case.
