Vinegar Syndrome has hinted that it will release the long unavailable film Looking for Mr. Goodbar on a 4K UHD/Blu-ray combo pack, available to pre-order on November 1st as part of their Black Friday pre-order weekend.

I just saw this film for the first time this year and was shocked by it. I personally can't wait to pick this up.

This movie is a surprisingly tough sit. And a pretty unique cultural artifact that I think a lot of people don't really know about due to its being kinda/sorta buried by Paramount in the meantime.

I'm glad it's finally getting a release but good lord is it a bleak, bitter little pill.

It probably won't be available on Amazon until after it's release but you could pre-order it straight from the Vinegar Syndrome website.

I still cannot believe someone at WB snuck a reference to this movie into Space Jam 2.

I think that movie will eventually come out in the next couple years. It very likely will not have a big release, it certainly won't be widely trumpeted or get a big 2-disc steelbook "The Rape of Christ Edition" with floating head photoshops of Oliver Reed and Vanessa Redgrave, but I bet it does drop.
