I still say the results of the poll are tainted because of what price Gladiator can be had for if one was going to buy Braveheart for $22.99 on release day or thereabouts to begin with. Now if there wasn't that offer for $10 off if you buy both and one had to additionally pay $22.99 for Gladiator as well then I know the results would change and probably by lots more than one may think.
I know the thread title and the poll is flat out for are you going to buy it regardless of PQ findings but still the cost definitely is a consideration! Last edited by robertc88; 08-30-2009 at 11:18 AM. |

Will not purchase until they announce a replacement program. Why reward studio incompetence and/or laziness and/or cheapness at this point? I can certainly wait a while before I watch this again.

I still haven't decided for sure, but I am tempted to still get it at Best Buy along with Braveheart. Anyone who thinks they are doing anything by not buying it is kidding themselves. I understand where you are coming from, but it's not going to force a re-release because this is still going to sell a lot. Also, anyone who is still hung up on the missing arrows and such needs to realize that you would barely notice it (if at all) when you actually watch the movie. So, saying the BD isn't better than the DVD just because of that is silly.

What do you mean? Disney (Buena Vista) is the one that produced and released that Blu-ray. Many people complained about how terrible the transfer was, but they have made absolutely zero effort to do a new transfer. Probably not enough people buying it for them to care.

The folks here at Blu-ray.com haven't even bothered to review it. Now I am not a huge stickler videophile. But the transfer for this one was simply atrocious. And I regret shelling out $25 for it before reading any reviews on it. |
