They do make a 58" S1. Its the G10 that doesn't come in 58". The G10 is maxed out at 54", but yes the V10 comes in 58". Of course there's a very large price difference. My personal opinion is that if you want the largest for the money then the S1 is a fine set. The V10 is a better set but I wouldn't get the 54" at the price that it currently goes for. The difference in size between the 50" and the 54" is pretty small considering the big difference in price. For the money I would either go with the 50" V10 if picture quality was the highest priority or I would get the 58" S1 if I really wanted the increase in size and could live with a small decrease in picture quality.

If your budget can handle it you should look at the 58" V10. I don't know when it will be released in Canada. The 800u is a fine set too and if that set truly has been on display a week then you wouldn't disappointed with it. I should point out that the THX setting is actually better on that set than it is on the G10 and a hair better than the V10's THX setting. Of course the 800u doesn't produce the blacks that the newer Panny's have, so that would be a trade off. With the prices close I'd say the S1 is a slightly better value.
