Indeed it is. $10.00 less than what I gave for mine.

No, it’s actually a sequel. To both the first film and Wandavision.

I mostly understood but it seems not completely
It was female-focused but it certainly wasn't a sequel in name only like Troll 2, for example.

It didn't follow up the story from the first movie, that is true, but it featured some of the same characters played by the same actors in the same continuity as the first movie, which is good enough. A sequel in name only is like Halloween III which shares no characters from Halloween or Halloween II.

It is more of a sequel to Wandavision than the first film, but the way I see it, the entire MCU is a sequel to Iron Man.

We'll have to agree to disagree on that one But putting aside my own personal feelings, the 3D might be the best in Phase 4 which for most people in this thread is the only thing that matters.

That's a fun way of looking at the MCU and it did make me stop and think a little. What I came up with is that the "classic" MCU (Phase 1) is the sequal to Iron Man. But the "modern" MCU (Phases 2 & 3) is the sequel to The Avengers.

No social justice warring please - the forum rules have been updated to be very clear on this point:

No social justice crusades, either pro or con. No debates about the behavior of persons whom a company or label employs, retains or associates with, or whose work it publishes. This site is for the discussion of Blu-ray discs, standard and 4K: their release, contents, quality and presentation. (We also have sections for DVD and streaming content, to which this same rule applies.) If you disapprove of a content provider’s conduct or politics, feel free to boycott the relevant thread by not posting in it. Kindly save any form of “culture wars” for social media.

It's fair enough to criticise films but please be specific as otherwise it ends up going nowhere and aggravating people - "I hate PC crap" vs "I love variety" is not a discussion anybody wants to read anywhere in these forums.

It's no secret Disney have been operating a tick-box approach to diversity, equity and inclusion, some people think that's fantastic, others think it makes everything worse. Again, we do not want to see that discussion in these forums.

These are excellent but not particularly surprising offers for these movies. For a few seconds even I was tempted to buy the Wanda movie but Amazon would literally have to pay me for the other two lol.

I was in a TV store recently and this film was being used to showcase the difference in image quality amongst the various models of TVs. The salesman was commenting on how the 4K OLED makes this film "look 3D". I've seen some times where I think I see what people mean about 4K looking 3D, but this was not one of those times, not even at 96".

Thought it was worth mentioning based on recent discourse as literally every TV showing the film there had motion interpolation enabled, which I know some members here might consider a breach of the Geneva Convention. The salesman said people appreciate how smooth everything, including movies, appears on modern TVs. I bet Cameron and Jackson are confused over that one too

The experience left me with the impression that not even the best 2D tv technology can make this film look as good as its 3D version.

LG's 2016 OLED 3D is the pinnacle of 3D. No crosstalk, no ghosting. It's a pity that as 3D was perfected on TV it was abandoned.

That set has ghosting for sure, unless you mean for this movie specifically in which case I agree there was no ghosting.

I agree - I own a 77 G6V 3D OLED. It's the largest Passive 3D OLED sold by LG and was discontinued the year after release. In my view, the greatest mistake made in the hardware industry.

For those still interested, I was able to grab Dr. Strange: Multiverse of Madness 4K + 3D for £43 from a website called Wafuu.

Interestingly, that and GOTG 3D are the only 2 Blu Ray titles they sell, which means they know there is demand from the 3D TV owners in the West.
