Early 1900 Sicily still has a town setting, so it's not entirely wilderness. But I liked the wilderness presented in Mafia Remake and the other games including Mafia 3.

It looks like it's story driven and no side quest nonsense, which is good. I don't need lots of mini side quests to enjoy a game. Unless it offers some nice rewards, I rarely complete most of the side quests in most games (unless it was Fallout 3).
While I didn't hate Mafia 3, I think the story parts were pretty good, I'd be very happy if Old Country is more like 1 & 2 (where the world is more a backdrop for the story instead of a mess of repetitive side content). LA Noire is sorta like that too, I spose, and that's one of my favorite games.
