Looks like this is nearing the end of the road for these eyepop 3d releases . which is really sad as they are great conversions

Just as an update I did end up checking out the disc and watching the whole film. There may not be any pop-outs (though there are a couple of very brief shots of a gun barrel/silencer that might have done, they were very brief) but there are a LOT of interiors and even close ups of Peter Cushing's face have decent volume so overall it's a solidly deep conversion that is a very worthwhile watch for fans of the film. Some of the cinematography lends itself very well to the format, a chase down a street with buildings looming on both sides, top-down shots of a ritual, there's a lot to see here if you don't mind it all being behind the screen. I think Satanic Rites of Dracula and Messiah of Evil would both have been perfect for EYEPOP premium level releases with the conversion strength & quality achieved. Having delivered these, as well as all the other conversions I've produced over the last 2 years feels like an optimal moment for me to step back from conversion full time and allows me to concentrate on other opportunities, still 3D related obviously. I will continue with conversions now and then, I'm hoping I can have one ready for Halloween but worst case scenario definitely for Christmas time. Last edited by DVS3D; 07-23-2025 at 03:40 PM. Just watched Invasion of the Saucer Men and it's another very nice conversion with some scenes working really well for 3D -- and I haven't seen the film look this good.
Great job, Team EyePop! |

I have received your latest releases. WASP WOMAN, SATANIC RITES, and INVASION OF. Have watch WOMAN and RITES. Boy! The 3D really opens up the screen and extends the space surrounding you. I did not see "pop outs", but felt surrounded by the evil of the open spaces and depth

I wrote a review of King Dinosaur but it appears to have been lost so I can't bring myself to write it again. The film was silly in a good way but also less eventful than I was expecting. I thought the conversion got some good dimensionality out of ropey stock footage as well as providing decent volume generally.
