OK, I have ordered all five new titles. It wasn't that long ago I picked up the Film Detective edition of A Bucket of Blood (also on a BD-R) but never got around to watching it, I suspect now I never will.

Looks like this is nearing the end of the road for these eyepop 3d releases . which is really sad as they are great conversions

Have fun!
Can you please give us a quick review on the 3D of these 2 when you looked into it.

Will do, but it might be a while! The brief runtimes of these films keep them near the top of my watch list but I am also trying to get my wife to watch them with me and that's always a challenge. I'll probably check out the Dracula movie later out of curiosity and will inevitably watch it to the end.

Just as an update I did end up checking out the disc and watching the whole film. There may not be any pop-outs (though there are a couple of very brief shots of a gun barrel/silencer that might have done, they were very brief) but there are a LOT of interiors and even close ups of Peter Cushing's face have decent volume so overall it's a solidly deep conversion that is a very worthwhile watch for fans of the film. Some of the cinematography lends itself very well to the format, a chase down a street with buildings looming on both sides, top-down shots of a ritual, there's a lot to see here if you don't mind it all being behind the screen.

Thanks for the review and I'm really glad you enjoyed it - yes the gun barrel does pop out but as you say it's pretty quick, blink and you'll miss it - unlike something like Phantom Planet where there was time to appreciate the pop-outs, plus PP had better suited source material!

I think Satanic Rites of Dracula and Messiah of Evil would both have been perfect for EYEPOP premium level releases with the conversion strength & quality achieved. Having delivered these, as well as all the other conversions I've produced over the last 2 years feels like an optimal moment for me to step back from conversion full time and allows me to concentrate on other opportunities, still 3D related obviously. I will continue with conversions now and then, I'm hoping I can have one ready for Halloween but worst case scenario definitely for Christmas time.

I think this and Messiah of Evil would both have been perfect for EYEPOP level releases and provide a good opportunity for me to step back and slow down my output. I'm hope I can have a title ready to release for Halloween but worst case scenario definitely for Christmas time.
I didn't want to pause it while I was watching but I was very impressed with those very brief silencer shots. While I will happily watch milder output, for me the value is definitely in the stronger conversions, I would rather have one of those than ten mild ones. However, with fish tank style 3D if the depth and separation are consistently strong then that still ends up very respectable despite the absence of pop-outs.

Just watched Invasion of the Saucer Men and it's another very nice conversion with some scenes working really well for 3D -- and I haven't seen the film look this good.

Great job, Team EyePop!

I have received your latest releases. WASP WOMAN, SATANIC RITES, and INVASION OF. Have watch WOMAN and RITES. Boy! The 3D really opens up the screen and extends the space surrounding you. I did not see "pop outs", but felt surrounded by the evil of the open spaces and depth Well done....and thank you.

Thank you for your positive feedback Robert. We've had a lot of really positive feedback on these titles which is really gratifying.

Thank you Gary! You may like to see some of the comparison shots shared that demonstrates the digital remastering work undertaken prior to the conversion which is detailed in this blog post.

I got the rest of these through from Phil via eBay so have made a combo pack for Horror Express thanks to the two disc cases many of these titles use. I've bought all of them except the HFR Gamera so have quite the backlog to get through now!

I wouldn't recommend the store for discs. I bought all my latest Plan D titles on eBay where they are cheaper starting at $13.99 - the only downside is that they are available separately from Andrew in the UK and from Phil in the US, but it was very easy to order them and while I would have preferred a single bundle rather than two there was still some postage discount in there and I got the discs very quickly. Just make sure you order the right thing as I almost ordered the 2D Invasion of the Saucer Men disc by mistake!

I wrote a review of King Dinosaur but it appears to have been lost so I can't bring myself to write it again. The film was silly in a good way but also less eventful than I was expecting. I thought the conversion got some good dimensionality out of ropey stock footage as well as providing decent volume generally.
