It was the most I would pay for that movie (really an anti space exploration movie) but I got Heat for that $3.99 price point for a friend (I already had the SB) which was nice.

Unless I’m experiencing a bug it appears that you no longer get free shipping if your order consists of multiple items under $35 that ship on different days.

Oh wow, same here. That’s ridiculous. I’ll either order multiple copies of the same thing or just use Amazon more since I have Prime.

I just tried an order of movies only (2 in stock titles with the 35-minimum qualifier and a preorder that doesn't come out until Oct and was also below 35, but didn't have the qualifier) and still got free shipping as usual. I do have their redcard and free 360 for a year though, in case that might make a difference.

Yeah, I'm hoping this is a glitch and not a desperate attempt by them to get you to pay for Target Circle 360 as the only way to get free shipping at any order threshold. They just killed off price-matching. How much less consumer friendly are they trying to get in such a small window of time?

Just tested this myself… seems the $35 threshold has nothing to do with any preorder movies.

Even if I have multiple preorders shipping at the same time over $35, they’re charging shipping.

At first, it started at $3 and then slight increment for each different preorder..

Now, it was a flat $5.99 for all items.

Not target 360 member and no red card.

These were all preorders. Had no issue with in stock items.

I just added all four Airport 4K movie preorders to my cart, all releasing on 9/30, and even though my order was over $100 I was charged $5.99 for shipping.

When I tested two already-released movies - The Jet Li 4K Collection and Swordfish 4K - both ship free when I add them individually to my cart. That makes these shipping charges a preorder-only issue. Hopefully it's just a temporary glitch that gets fixed soon.

Actually, I didn't try a pre-order (until now). You are correct; they added shipping. It makes no sense to charge for pre-orders. Hopefully, like you said, it is a glitch.

Looks like they are also offering a choice of Standard Shipping or Express Shipping for these newer preorders. Perhaps a sign that Target will be changing their shipping practices in the future?

Standard shipping is showing as $5.99 and Express shipping is $10.00. If they are going to charge me a new fee of $5.99 and still have it delivered via the speed of a turtle, I'm going to rethink my spending at Target.

I put a couple of the Airport 4K's in my Cart and got the same 2 choices for shipping-and I was signed in and I have a red card. It was a perk to have free shipping with having a red card-but it seems like that is going away. This and the fact that there prices for 4K's are higher than other places(Jurassic World:Rebirth REGULAR version was over 10 than others)-so I got it off of ebay from grub with free shipping.

Probably October, assuming Amazon has an October prime day sale again this year. Otherwise, it likely won't happen until Black Friday week.
