https://www.thegamer.com/ps5-pro-dis...-sony-digital/ Because of this, the PS5 Pro Console is not selling well: https://www.dualshockers.com/bad-news-for-the-ps5-pro/ So if there is a PS6, maybe Sony will learn from their mistake and give the PS6 an optical disc drive. If the PS6 has no optical disc drive, I hope it has enough SSD space to hold Gran Turismo 8 with all the cars and tracks fans want. |

The PS5 Pro isn't selling poorly because it lacks a disc drive, it's selling poorly because it's $750 dollars. Even if they kept the disc drive included, it wouldn't make a dent in the sales numbers. It's simply too expensive for most consumers, and if Sony wants to keep costs down on the PS6, the disc drive is the easiest thing for them to cut.

If the game sizes stayed the same, 2Tb at launch with an expansion slot to let people upgrade wouldn't be too bad I think.
I was waiting for pricing to drop but but for a 1Tb NVMe but now you can get 2Tb for even less so I'm hoping to see if I can find the 4Tb NVMe drives on sale and then I'm done for the rest of the gen. |

I often wonder what takes PD so long to make these games as they keep rehashing out a lot of the same content each time. Same tracks, same cars many times, more license tests, etc. I think they are full time staff paid for by Sony and just take their time. No rush until the next console type situation.

Crew 2 with cars vs bikes, real manufacturers. No damage physics in that game. Nascar, I wonder why there are so many crashes each race. Almost like it's expected. The fast speeds really affect physics and controls. |

The Forza Motorsport series has released a new version every 2 years since 2005. It may not have been as photorealistic as Gran Turismo, but most Forza Motorsport fans either didn't notice or didn't care. What Forza Motorsport fans did care about was that Forza Motorsport offered several features that Gran Turismo didn't initially offer, including: -A livery editor for custom paint jobs -More freedom in customizing car parts for better performance, such as swapping engines and drivetrains from one car to another -Damage that could not only be seen, but could degrade the vehicle's performance -A racing line that showed where to drive and turned yellow and red to indicate that you needed to hit the brakes (turning green when you slowed down enough) -An automatic braking feature for novices -The ability to buy and sell customized cars online Now if Gran Turismo or Forza Motorsport gave players the ability to pick a city and design a race course through the streets of that city, that would be awesome. |
