Dunno if we're including partner labels, but the recent UK release of Shoot First, Die Later was cut.

Thanks! May I ask what you mean with reframed? Like zoomed in or something?

DVDcompare needs to update the listing for it to say it's CUT for animal cruelty.

Wondering what else is in the cards @ Radiance under the Paramount deal...maybe DAISY MILLER?

Wouldn't be surprised if some of those Imprint Paramount titles get released by Radiance as well.

On that note, I don't think the film is very good at all, but SHEILA LEVINE IS DEAD AND LIVING IN NEW YORK definitely feels like a Radiance title.

And, even though it is technically "popular," how about DAYS OF HEAVEN? I'd buy that 4K without hesitation!

With the new Korean announcement I really hope that Radiance (or someone else) will do Failan. One of the most moving movies I ever saw and still not available on a decent blu-ray release in Europe or the states

I have only been using letterboxd since a couple of months and was not aware of these kind of lists and possiblities. interesting stuff, thanks for sharing

I reached out to Radiance and they confirmed their release will be sourced from that master.

Letterboxd gets a bad rep because of the crummy twitter-esque reviews you have to dig through to find anything of substance, but the lists on there can be really amazing. Finding lists full of films that might interest you is as simple as going to the page of a movie you like, and checking the lists that the movie appears in. It's a great resource.

I’d say lists are worse than the reviews. Unless its one of the biggest movies of the year you’ll still get some real reviews in the first 20 or so.

Lists, you often have to skip past “all the movies ever”, “all the movies ever - alphabetically”, “all the movies ever - release order”, “every (insert country) movie ever”, “all the movies - sorted by poster”, “all the movies ever under 100mins” and multiple pages of crap like that.

I just looked at Planet of the Vampires - hardly a blockbuster! - and of the first 12 lists (1 page), 7 have 10-50,000 movies in them, only 1 is below 1,000 (and the next lowest is exactly 1,000)

On Letterboxd you should block the users who create those popular "every movie ever" etc. lists and you will start seeing more real ones. I've blocked about 28 users, but probably should block more, still seeing crap lists often.

Updated: I took a random movie, "Johnnie Dangerously" and blocked a lot of users that showed up with popular lists with thousands of movies that said really nothing... 50 blocked now. However now the next person to block is https://letterboxd.com/jlalibs/list/...o-thumbs-down/

I find the lists to be very valuable because it can keep track of how many movies I've watched in a specific series or a big box set (ex: Kino Lorber's "Dark Side" sets).

Yeah, between garbage lists and Twitter-style reviews, I've blocked hundreds of people on Letterboxd.

I've never understood those lists - they surely serve no purpose to any audience but must be some work to put together. It's not like people get paid for clicks on Letterboxd - or do they?

I also don't understand why people don't make the 'all the films in X genre that I've seen' lists private

You don't need to block anyone. Simply follow the right people.

Yeah I don’t have an account - can’t decide on a username, mainly lol - so can’t block anyone

I wouldn’t block that person, that’s a decent list. Can’t say I’d use it for recommendations or anything, but given those two critics’ influence at the time I’d say it has a sort of value

Some very, very nice announcements from Radiance. I'm in for all of them, except the Altman. I love Altman, I just don't need this film.
