Default Playstation store

I read on IGN that at some point in the future, you'll be able to access the playstation store from any pc. I was wondering what the status of this is right now? Can't be done yet. If you could access the store, is it possible to download something, say a game demo or movie preview and then transfer that to your ps3?

It was just announced last week. I think it was mainly for the PSP users who dont have a PS3 to download content like the PS1 games availble.

I thought that I might have read something on IGN that said that in the future, you could access the playstation store via PC. A date was not given though.

Sony announced this at the Sony briefing for TGS. It was supposed to be up and running as he announced it. I have not looked for it, but I also have not seen a url to find it.
