The quality of the show, pure opinion so I'll leave it at that. The ratings however are not good, unless you mean good enough to keep NBC in 4th place. They have gone up slightly from the pathetic premiere but still below the lowest ratings it got last season. And it is not delivering strong in the 18-49 demo, it is average at best. But you may have a point. NBC is having a horrible time right now and relative to their entire lineup Heroes is in the middle. That may be enough to keep them alive one more year, albeit with a much tighter budget.

I enjoy Castle so I'm sure it will be cancelled. It barely made it into
this year.

Move Numb3rs from green to orange as high costs may get this cancelled next year.

Numbers
CBS has cut back its full season order for the veteran crime procedural from 22 to 16 episodes.

Though its easily the leading network ratings-wide of the night, Friday nights have been brutal this year and CBS is no exception.

"Numbers" pulled in a 1.7/6 rating and 7.9 million viewers overall but with its syndication run secure and the high production cost associated with the show, its future is looking unlikely beyond the current sixth season.

Its too bad about Trauma, Im really liking it.

Community is really in the Orange? This show is awesome, Do they give anything a chance anymore?

I dont understand how some shows are on tv but good shows get cancelled all the time. Its a crappy business.

I gave up on television after My Name Is Earl got cancelled. Plus when Southland did get cancelled, thank the big man upstairs that TNT picked it up.

It's really the only ABC show I watch. Hopefully it will hang on a bit longer.

Wow, I hope Fringe makes it... love that show... I don't know what it really competes with in that time slot, but thats what I watch every Thursday after Survivor... I am surprised Bones being up against Survivor is doing as well as it is, it's a great show as well and its aired in Canada on Wednesday nights.

Way too early to tell for Fringe.

It was doing well in Sept- Oct (having done better than even Grey's Anatomy or CSI), but fell sharply yesterday after a 2 week hiatus.
I suspect many people didn't even know it was back on.

We'll see what the tendancy is after another 2-3 weeks.

It's way too early to talk about what is going to get renewed next year. Some shows start strong but lose viewers over time, while others take time to gain an audience. It also depends on what the networks think of the pilots this spring. Their decision on whether to cancel shows is largely influenced by what they have to replace it. You don't cancel a show if you don't believe you have something better to replace it with.

The Middle, Parks and Recreation, Community, and Mercy have already received full season pickups, so their networks are happy enough with their performance for now. Mercy in particular has gotten strong ratings (by NBC standards) and is in good position to return next year. I also don't know how Heroes is considered part of the green group. It's ratings are not great and it's a fairly expensive show so it's future is very murky.

It's always easy to find out if a show will be cancel or not, all you need to do is send me a message or email and ask me if what I like.

If a like a show it's going to be cancel, no worries

Costs will play an extensive role in the final determination for the shows on the bubble. Fringe is getting slaughtered at its very competitive timeslot. I could see it getting canceled. The comedies on NBC will likely be renewed because of externalities unrelated to the quality of each show. NBC's entire schedule is a disaster, but you simply can't eliminate entire swaths of shows at once.

I feel the same way actually. I start watching Chuck at the start of Season Two, and it almost got cancelled after that season. I start watching Fringe when Season One comes out on BD, and it goes from a good rated show to a show on the bubble. Terminator gets cancelled and Dollhouse is well on its way. I know it's all just a coincidence, but it still sucks.

In regards to Fringe, I hope Fox sees that it has a show that can perform well when it is in a timeslot it can compete in. Judging it now in its current timeslot is pretty unfair.

Don't worry, I'm not a complete curse. I started watching Burn Notice during its second season and it is still going strong. 24 is still alive and well, along with Two and a Half Men and True Blood, and so on.

It's not a reality show so Fox doesn't care... just stick it where it fits and cancel when it performs crappy... Tired of reality TV...

Fox has let me down in the past most of the time, but I hope you're wrong on this one. There's no reason to cancel a show that has proven it can perform in a better time slot, but this is Fox we are talking about here.

The next move will be Fox sticking it on Friday nights where it has absolutely no chance and then it will be cancelled. I never understood the logic of sticking it on a Friday night when its already struggling.
