He could have had the order ingrained into the clones as they were being created.

Lucas once said in a documentary he had a 9 movies story in mind but he would be too old to do the last 3. He started writing Episode I in 1993 and knew it would be a 12 years work.

If Ep. VII, VIII and IX ever do come about, either live action or animated features, I'd like to see the films based on the Timothy Zahn novels.

+1. I've had them in hardback since they were released back in 1991. Still the best Star Wars books I've read.

Totally agree. It's been a while since I read them though, but it felt like a natural continuation of the story.

What are the titles of the books that you speak of?

Well, if they ever did adapt those stories, they wouldn't be episodes 7-9. Those are Zahn's stories, not Lucas's. And besides, they would have to be animated as the cast is too old. The only other option would be to re-cast everybody, and that would be a disaster.

Anyway, there never will be Episodes 7,8,9, even after Lucas' death.

It worked for Star Trek. It'd be a whole new generation watching...just like what happened with Episodes I-III.

Almost all people from the IV-VI generation didn't like I-III but what about the new generation? Those people that have watched I-III and THEN watched IV-VI and all they had to say was 'the special effects weren't as good'.

It would ruin it for the IV-VI generation like how we felt after watching I-III but might be good for the newbies.

Lucas cannot keep himself from dying but through the Force he has found a way to keep the ones he loves from dying.
