Is Star Trek the only blu-ray to get a perfect review in all categories? I'm assuming this will be a good blind buy even though I hardly do it.

Nope, but it is part of a rare group. Wall-E, The Godfather Collection, The Third Man, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, The Seventh Seal, and Blade Runner were the only other ones to get a perfect review here.

Saw this once back in May, and was extremely disappointed. But then again, the sound and picture in the theater I was in were awful. Fuzzy, dark, and absolutely NO surround sound.

Looking forward to giving this another shot on Blu-ray.

And for those who find the Star Trek Blu-Ray just isn't enough on Nov 17, you can throw the new book "Star Trek: The Art Of The Film" on your coffee table as well

Thats a shame. I remember when I went to see Crystal Skull, the entire right audio section went out, and stayed out for the rest of the movie...happened a little more than half-way in.

I've seen a few people online who have region 2 copies. Ah, but its only one more week.

Default Star Trek - Perfect Rating!

I read the Star Trek review and noticed that the reviewer gave it a perfect rating; 5.0 in every category. I couldn't remember seeing that, so I quickly scanned and discovered that, and assuming my research was accurate, this only the 7th title to receive such a rating. The others:

BladeRunner Collectors Ed.
Wall-E
Godfather Collection
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

and a couple of older B&W that I have yet to see: The Third Man and Seventh Seal.

Doesn't mean anything of course; each reviewer has his own quirks and peculiarities, but I was simply curious and thought i'd share the info.

That is one of the reasons why I will be at TARGET at 8 am on November 17th to get this!

Exclusive Starship Enterprise packaging. The BDs are stored in the "saucer section!"

So what if it's plastic! So are the burritos at Taco Bell.

I can't believe this is my first time seeing that.

I don't see it on the Target Web-site

Yeah. It's really one of the best films of the year. And one of the best Blu-Rays as well.

Not sure if I'd stick the prequel up with Blade Runner... Surprised the Dark Knight wasn't in there. Had an easier time to accept the newest James Bond. With his prequels than Star Trek.

A big budget blockbuster gets a good blu-ray release? Stop the presses
I thought it was a fairly entertaining flick. Not sure where all the critical gushing was coming from but I'll probably give it a second spin, see if I missed something the first time around

Hey Tommy,

Here is the link to see ALL of the Star Trek retail exclusives. Scroll down to see it listed at Target (and Best Buy Canada). It already came out in Germany as an amazon.de exclusive (sold out).

I can't wait for this thing!!!

I'm guessing the same as for the Bumblebee transforming case for Tranny2: $29.99 (first week of release), then $34.99 after.
