anyone ride the top thrill dragster at cedar point? that freaked me out the first time i did it. I know its tecnically not a roller coaster though.
At 43 yrs of age I don't enjoy that stuff like I used to. that was the only ride i did that day I didnt feel well the rest of the day.

I haven't ridden that ride per se, but I have ridden what you would consider a slightly taller and faster sister ride to it, Kingda Ka.

I think that, especially if you're not used to LIM/LSM launched rollercoasters, then it's usually hit or miss if you will enjoy it, and if your body will be able to handle it.

Sorry that you did not have a great experience on this ride. Were you watching the launches from the ride queue? I think that sometimes people get worked up right as they're about to ride, and that can lead to a bad ride experience.

I love Kinda Ka! Too bad the thing is always down lol. I haven't been to Six Flags in almost 3 years. Looking forward to riding it again. One of these days I'll make the 7hr trip to Cedar Point.

I'm also a fan of Dueling Dragons @ Island of Adventure..it's pretty fun.

Cedar Point is without a doubt the best amusement park I've ever been to. You will not be disappointed in any way, from the quality of rides to the impeccable customer service that they provide. Plus the park is on a very cool looking peninsula with some pretty nice views from atop the rides.

Superman was fun. I haven't been on Bizzaro yet, and I actually heard a rumor that 6 Flags New England is being downgraded back to the old 'Riverside' park, including a tear down of all the franchised rides and hurricane harbor and turning it into a racetrack .

Superman was reminiscent of 'The Pepsi Max Big One' in Blackpool, England. I wanted to go on Valhalla while I was there, but it was broken.

I live about 45 minutes from cedar point so all my favorites are there. Millennium Force is by far my favorite, followed closely by the top thrill dragster. The bronco or whatever then newer coaster they have is pretty cool too for being a fast looping g force coaster.

The magnum although way out classed by the MF will be a long time favorite of mine as well, especially considering it is basically a "walk on" most days.

Kingda Ka is brutally violent. Yes, it is a rush, but it's an up-and-over one-trick-pony. The two BEST coasters at Six Flags Great Adevnture are: El Toro (wood) and Nitro (steel non-looping).

No serious coaster enthusiast should ever miss out on a visit to Cedar Point. I like staying on-site at one of the resort hotels. This park had the world's first 200-foot tall coaster (Magnum XL-200, which opened in 1989). Since that time Cedar Point added a 300+-foot tall coaster, Millennium Force, and a 400+-foot tall coaster, Top Thrill Dragster.

I like the double-coaster as well. However, I prefer The Incredible Hulk at IOA. Yet, I find Diamondback at Kings Island to be more exciting.

Next year, THE coaster to keep an eye on will be Intimidator 305 at Kings Dominion (Doswell, VA). It will be 305 feet tall and travel over 95 miles an hour. Click here to see some virtual videos.

It goes so fast and the whole time I'm thinking "DAMN! the only thing between me and sure death is these two rubber harnesses!!!"
That's how I feel on Katsu. X2 isn't so bad for me but the entire time on Katsu you look DOWN with only the harness holding you. I think the craziest part of X2 is the beginning when you flip over and end up facing straight down. A few friends of mine don't like it though because I think they tense up too much and end up with neck pain.

I give much respect to the roller coaster designers for their creativity and safety.

Totally heading out to Kings Dominion! For some odd reason I didn't make it to El Toro. Wanted to hit Kinda Ka as soon as I got there...it broke down so I waited in line 2 hrs so I wouldn't miss my front row seat...by the time I go off el toro was a 3 hr wait. Nitro was a good one too! Has anyone been there recently for TDK? I've heard mixed reviews.

That would really suck if it got downgraded. The only difference between Bizzaro and Superman is that they repainted it and put in a flames.

Haha, you guys are funny. I used to be a big roller coaster enthusiast...even travelled the country. My favorite roller coaster would probably be Goliath at Six Flags Magic Mountain. Just the right mix of speed, twists, g-forces, and airtime.

My favorite coaster is Space Mountain. Sure it doesn't have loops and is not as fast as others, but it's got great theming, and you're riding in the dark!

When I go to Disneyland, that is definitely my favorite ride at the park. The themeing is excellent and it feels like your going faster then you really are because of it. Great coaster all around and a definite classic.

The one time I went to Disney World, that was probably my favorite attraction at the Magic Kingdom next to Alien Encounter.

Yeah and standing in line this summer in 90+ degree heat with those flame towers right next to the ride queue going off every 5 minutes was NOT enjoyable.

They also added/brought back the misters around the tunnels.

I do wish they kinda flip-flopped those themes.
