My first portable CD player was a generic no name CD player (forgot the brand name) this player was cheaper than the sony walkmans etc. However the player was bulky (it was a square inch wider and longer than walkman, and a 16th of an inch thicker, an dback then the walkman was not as slim as today's CD walkmans), in other words it was huge. I got it with the bonethugs album creeping on the come up (the one with "It's the thuggish ruggish Bone"). Dispite the player's size, it only had track number, and no track time.

It's funny how thinks change. Now I got an Ipod 30gb, I listen to metal, and classic shred rock ( I was only in middle school when i got my first cd player, I was easily influenced by hip hop culture which was and still is popular in Hawaii), After I grew i reallized that rappers have no tallent, and metal is the music I really like. Oh but I hate alternative rock (blink 180 or any band that sounds like them), I would rather listen to old tupac (not the undead one they have now).
