Thats true too, if they got solid depth they really don't need Halladay (as we saw this past year)

But that would just be the end all be all, nobody could go four deep like that.

I'd say the redsox right now have a comparable 3 with a healthy Lester, Beckett, and Dice-K but trying to compare a wakefield to a Halladay PLEASE even I'm not that dumb lol.

Finally some non-Yankee news:

Red Sox are probably going to trade Mike Lowell to the Rangers for a minor league catcher.

My two thoughts:

1) When I think of the Red Sox, I think of Varitek and Lowell. Kind of a bummer for them to send him away, but I guess they have their reasons.

2) This is probably only the start of a bigger deal. With the Mariners letting Beltre go, I think maybe the Red Sox are making room for him.

Lowell is getting up there and he's very injury-prone, especially his knees; frankly I'm suprised he was a Red Sox player last season. Although I am a little surprised that they would trade him for a minor league catcher.

Yeah, I was hopping they were going to get Zimmerman and get him out of the depths of the Nats

Lowell was good same as JD Drew, but they just have to many injuries I think both need to parted with.

I am all for the Red Sox improving themselves like this, to keep the Yankees in check. Dumping Lowell is the correct move.
