What you talking about those are the best pictures I could find. I didn’t need an IMAX size image just a moderate size images of the AVR and she is beauty.

No, you misunderstood. I was being sarcastic about the size of the unit itself - the thing is a monster

Oh, I knew that. LOL Its like double Decker bus!

That has to weigh at least x3 of my Alesis RA300 amps! And each of them is heavy. Looks like a strong rack to hold the weight of that Pioneer!

Hey GuitarGuyBMG I'd buy one of these first you're gonna need it!

I take it it’s got THX ultra2?

The SC-25 is THX Select2 Plus, while the SC-27 is THX Ultra2 Plus......

I couldn’t see it clearly on the picture that I garbed. I knew there was new THX models in the listing just couldn’t remember which.

So one of these models has the THX loudness thingy on it?

I was happy to find out last night that the back side of my entertainment cabinet is actually plywood and is attached with four screws, while the rest is solid wood. Unscrewing and removing the plywood from the back should solve all my problems in regards to depth clearance.

Thats a win/win for both the speaker wire/banana plugs and for proper ventilation.....all you have to do now is set-up the darn thing!

Yep, even last year's SC-05 (mine) and the SC-07 had this feature.

I took the back off of the entertainment center, hooking everything up right now. I'm a bit frustrated with MonoPrice.com because I ordered a few days ago and the shipment is still at "Billing Information Received" with UPS. My sub and center channel should come in tomorrow to complete my speaker set, but I don't think I'll have my wires by Christmas.

You may want to revist the idea of removing the back of the entertainment stand completely because it was designed to give support to the structure. Of course with that Monster peeking out behing the glass I doubt that it will not be rigid.

It was just a piece of plywood. I doubt it had too much structural significance. The piece still seems pretty sturdy.

Typically rear panels on TV stands like that are for asthetic purposes only and not designed to be load bearing. I think that was the best solution, and you should be fine.

I took the same approach with the TV stand I am installing right now.

The Pioneer is a great receiver. I'm sure you will have a lot of fun with it.
