About Toshiba's 51gig disc - all reports so far indicate that there may be a very big compatibility problem with ALL HD players currently on the market (and in people's homes) being unable to play the 51gig discs - seems that player's lens needs to be replaced. On the other hand, Hitachi (I believe) is putting the finishing touches on a 100gig BluRay disc. This would only require a simple firmware upgrade to existing players. I wonder if all the Toshiba "repairs" will be free? Will Toshiba supply owners with a shipping carton, pay the freight both ways etc? I doubt it. If I were an HD Toshiba owner and then Paramount and Universal came out with "improved" HD discs that I couldn't play, I'd be pisssed as hell.
