Pioneer Elite VSX92TXH for 799.99, from dealer!

Honestly, I don't of one person myself and my friends included who ever had to have a Pioneer receiver serviced before. I guess we're all very lucky.

ya i know, i mean i have never heard of anyone with receivers having issues or needing work. i have never owned a pioneer elite yet, but i am really soon. i have had 2 onkyo's in the past and never had any issues with them

gvortex7 you are right on the style and look of the elite receivers, i love the way they look. they have a nice upscale look to them. i was a BB today in magnolia looking at them and checking them out.

Now just to decide on the 91 or the 92. i think the 92 model as it is not much more for that one over the 91 model.

Spoke to Phil of http://www.hifiheaven.net/ today about ordering the 92TXH. As the thread title says its $799.99 + $50.00 shipping to CT. I asked how warrenty service would be handled since I'm in CT and hi fi heaven is selling a unit from WI. Phil assured me Pioneer will honor the warrenty as long as I send it directly to a Pioneer service center and don't try to bring it to a CT area "dealer" and ask them to send it for me (of course a CT dealer wouldn't like that I bought out of his network).

I then asked what if a Pioneer service center refused service? He said I could always send it to hi fi heaven and they would send it to a Pioneer service center for me.

Looks like I'll be ordering one of these next week.

I have had products from Pioneer Elite and Rotel and Ayre Acoustics, and I have NEVER EVER had a problem with any of my components, and I've had the pleasure of owning such pieces for years and years and years with absolutely NO service calls or anything to speak of. Perhaps it's more than luck -- just high quality gear!
Oh, $799 for the Elite 92 receiver sounds really sweeeeeet!! I'd love to get one now, but I have more Blu-Ray discs to buy and HD-DVD to destroy!!!
