a long time ago I was thinking of putting my movies in genre sections and these polls remind me of why I didn't do it--

would Blazing Saddles be in "westerns" or "comedies"?

Agree with your post. It is difficult to classify some of the movies. Czar did a good job getting this together.

Same here. I can't vote when a good portion of my favorite comedies of all time are either not listed or are in different polls. No offense at all Czar and it's cool to do all this, but I can't vote in this poll if I have to pick runner ups as my favorites.

I have a problem with comedy as I don't think it works trying to make the audience laugh with every line.

Inglourious Basterds, Fargo and As Good As It Gets are funnier than the entire list, as well as all the Pixar stuff.

Good stuff though.

No Galaxy Quest!? That movie is awesome and is my favorite comedy.

Plus, none of the Vacation movies.... No Mallrats, either. I had to vote on "lower tier" movies for this one, unfortunately.

The Naked Gun
Tommy Boy
Young Frankenstein

Some of the best comedies there. It's funny, Caddyshack is hilarious but the film, as in the actual storyline, sucks. All the side characters make the film a classic. Naked Gun I voted for as a series. One of my favorites is not there, The Jerk but maybe it isn't as popular as I thought.
