Light on Sub sometimes goes out.

It is a 10" powered Sound Dynamic sub. It is 8 yrs old and has gone through 2 moves. I'm actually petfified to remove the back.

Well if your not confident then don’t you touch the wrong component by accident with your, bare fingers it might be fatal.

Get someone who is qualified to look at it, someone that isn’t going to rip you off with silly price, just for looking or fixing it.

It still sounds like dry-joint and they are easy to fix, if you know roughly where to look.

i don't know what the sub cost to begin with but, perhaps you might want to think about buying a new one. also you state that the light (gathering indicator light that goes from red to green to let you know the sub is in use or is this a true power on light?) goes off then comes back on but you don't mention is that the sub stops producing LFE during that time. is that the case? if it's not the case and the sub continues to work but the light is going on and off perhaps it's just the indicator light that is dying. again, i'm only going on what you have told us about your issue thus far.

perhaps you can give more details that would be more helpful in your responses. I/we don't want to be giving you the wrong information.
