Windows 7 keeps dropping internet connection

Definitely power cycle your modem and router. Even though I don't prefer IE, I wouldn't say "never use it". It works fine. I use it in business settings all the time without much issue.

Yeah, I've power cycled my modem and router a few times since I installed Windows 7 for a different reason, but the problem still occurs.

I hear you on IE and prefer to use Firefox but for some reason some plug-ins do not appear to support 64 bit Windows 7. Thanks for the suggestions though.
