Play has the best offer although the glow in dark T shirt isn't exactly appealing

Shame the price is so steep and not being exclusive to any particular retailer I might just go for 2 from Play and cancel and re-order if they adjust the price

Unfortunate, Play don't delivery to my country , so, I ordered it from amazon instead.

Also, I'm waiting to see how it looks like on this avatar steelbook for Thailand version and of course I will order it too.

I just had an email from Play about Avatar, the T Shirt is limited to the first 10,000 Steelbook orders!!

Makes you wonder how many Steelbooks have been produced for the UK on this one!

So why does the title say HMV Steelbook?
It will be widely available to all retailers

edit: Haven't received any email from PLAY.. care to copy and paste exactly what the email says?

just preordered it from HMV... cos of the points thing they got going...
Amazon is also listed as Ł24.99 now so I think all three are now the same price right?
and I think I can live without the glow-in-the-dark t-shirt from Play.

looks like steels are the same, but different cards, bokks etc to make it exclusive.

Hey; you all realise that this release has NO bonus material? There is a second release set for November which will have bonus material

"In a first for a major theatrical release on Blu-ray, the studio will go Superbit on James Cameron's megablockbuster and release it without any special features of any sort, in order to maximize audio and video quality."

"A multidisc "ultimate version" Blu-ray is planned for November. Details will be given during a press event in March 23"

Amazon UK is now down to 24.99 in price matching play.com.
And Amazon will ship to the US unlike play guess it is there I go.

Comes up as 21.27 during check out...is that conversion rate?

This one is kind of a 'hit and miss' now.

The good:
Steelbook release
Survival guide to Pandora
Art cards
No special features on the BD disc so film can be maximised (my BD player may still feel the pain though, given its age)

The bad:
Play.com exclusive T-shirt for first 10,000 copies, but no indication of what size the T-shirt is
2nd disc is a DVD containing the same film? (Why bother putting the film on a DVD and including it in the same package. Would be much more feasable to have a 2nd BD disc packed with special features)
Jacked up price for a pretty looking film with a mediocre, unoriginal story

Steelbook artwork looks nice though. I hope those age ratings are stickers that come off easily.

I don't think there are different art cards in each store.
Like Gladiator, we all going to receive the same ones.

Also about the "no extras" issue, I don't really watch them. The t-shirt, art-cards and steelbook case are enough "extras" for me.

Only Play have this listed as a BD/DVD combo. Both HMV and Amazon list it as 2 Blu

That's VAT removal. No taxes since we don't live in Europe.

So what you're implying is that if I get the free GLOW IN THE DARK t-shirt, whomever watches the movie with me can say....

"I see you."
