Default E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial = best movie ever

Watched it tonight. Probably hadn't watched it in about a year. Never changes. Movie-making magic, kicking ass and taking names. Near perfect. As always.

I can confirm this claim. I barely remember watching this in the theaters. It is one of the all time classics ever made.

For a time this movie was bigger than Michael Jackson. It still holds its weight and is up there with the best movies of all time.

Is'nt there an album of Michael Jackson album narrating ET? I remember a picture of the two as well.

Yeah Jackson and ET pretty much dominated the decade of the 1980's. I would say it was the movie of the decade.

Now that I'm thinking about it, I think I picked up that MJ ET album at a thrift store for like 50 cents. I wonder if it's worth anything? I have so much vinyl it's to keep track.

We are talking about the original 1982 release not the edited butcher version release in 2002 right? 1982 is one of the best movies ever, but the I hated the edited cut version.

I liked the first part of the film with the kids and E.T but the second half with the whole Government subplot dragged the film down a bit.

It's a good film but hardly the best film ever. Raiders Of the Lost Ark which came out a year earlier is a much better effort by Speilberg

I would not call it best movie ever, it's not even in my top ten.

It's a movie that just get's less and less fun to watch everytime I see it, not sure why that is.

Of course, 1982. Please no more talk about that other thing from 2002.

I love E.T too! It's so innocent and yet mature, and has a huge heart!

I can't wait for it to arrive on BD! First day purchase for me!

I didn't mind the anniversary edition either. except for the 'replace the guns with walkie talkies' issue.

Not best ever for me. But I would probably put it among my top 30 or 40 all-time.
