thanks for the info on movieposter.com guys. My posters shipped out from NY even though my card was charged from Canada. They should be here by the 16th.
I already re- arranged and hung new poster frames. I really wish i had a cam to borrow as my HT gallery need a drastic update. Ive been looking for an original grindhouse for some time but man are they expensive. Ive also been looking for Clockwork Orange, and Oldboy. (at reasonable prices) However after these 5 new ones i ran out of space on the walls. As my HT sits now I have mostly comic book and fantasy movie posters. But I did pick up both Toy Story films on Blu-ray today, and took advantage of the instant discount and the Disney coupons. Both movies for $19 out the door plus two movie passes to see Toy Story 3. ![]() |

If it is the style I am thinking of, I don't have it in stock yet, working on it. But shoot me an email directly (email address is below in my signature) and I can verify the style with you.

Nope, nothing on Chloe, it isn't a title I will carry, and while it does have some bigger name actors in it, I believe it is a smaller film, so probably won't be many posters of it out there. My advice would be to go to a theater in your area that carries the film and speak to a manager. For some reason though I think you work for a theater, correct? Send me a PM if need be.

Someone had mentioned that there were two final styles for Iron Man 2 coming out the first week of April. I am unsure of who that was, but there isn't two final styles coming, there is one final style and one international style (the International image was released today), and possibly an IMAX style. I wish I knew a simple and quick way of posting images here.

International Advance Style Domestic U.S. Advance Style "A" Domestic U.S. Advance Style "B" International Final Style The next style that should be releasing any day now will be the domestic U.S. final style, and MAYBE a domestic IMAX style. The problem is most of the images that people see online are not posters. In the case of Iron Man 2, and the website above, some of those images are posters, one of the images is the theatrical cardboard standee, and the other images are just promotional images and in my opinion, a few fan-made images. Yes, as odd as that may sound, there are people who actually create their own "movie poster" imagery and then slap them up on the internet and say "Hey check out this official poster!" when in fact it isn't a poster at all. An example of this was the Dark Knight, as soon as the first publicity image of Ledger as The Joker was released in summer 2007, people started creating mock-ups of what a poster would look like. There are some talented people out there that know their way around Photoshop and other programs, who do this. I don't have a problem with it myself but when they try to then claim it is a poster, that is where I have major issues with it, because then people think that is a poster when it doesn't even exist. And then dealers like MovieGoods comes along and takes the image and then tries to sell it as a "27x40 Movie Poster Print" on their website, even further causing more confusion. The latest is the 3rd Batman film by Christopher Nolan. Go on YouTube and other sites and you will find people posting images they claim are posters, when in fact they are nothing more than fan-made images. There is NOT a single poster out there for another Batman film, and more than likely we won't see an officially released one until about 8-10 months before the film is released, when we see the first advance style. IF the next Batman film is due out in July 2011 for example, and they start filming in May of this year, my guess is we would see the first advance style around November/December 2010. But right now, no one knows when the next Batman will start filming since there has been no official announcement from Nolan, or Warner Brothers, the studio responsible for the film's distribution. Unfortunately, there are a large number of people who fall victim to what is a poster and what isn't, and these same people have what they feel are original movie posters in their collection but in reality they have reproductions, etc. A few weeks ago I had to break it to a guy that his "recalled" Spider-Man WTC poster was not original. Not only was it not the right size, but it didn't feature some of the characteristics that are found on the originals but not on the reprints. He wasn't sure and was relieved that I explained it to him, but I felt bad in the process because I felt sorry for him. Remember there are some good dealers out there, I try my best to be one of them, but dishonesty runs rampant in this industry as well. |

Has anyone bought from "movieposterarena" on ebay? His feedback is 99.9%. The posters I'm looking at from him are 27x40's, original DS one-sheets.
I decided it's time to retire the SW posters for awhile, as all six have been up for 10+ yrs. Anyway, I've decided to get 3-4 new ones in 27x40's. I'm looking to get these: The Dark Knight (batpod) - FOUND Superman Returns (final) The Incredible Hulk (2008, final) - FOUND Indiana Jones KOTCS ( from another source, final) - FOUND I already have Clerks II and Aliens that will probably go up, definetly Aliens. I also have THX-1138 and that's staying up. Last edited by Indyjones; 03-27-2010 at 07:02 PM. |

I found this seller on ebay ... http://stores.ebay.com/Movie-Posters-4U?_rdc=1
Seems like they're legit posters, but any reason to think otherwise? |

![]() So does anyone know where I can get an original Superman Returns DS 27x40 final, for less than $50? Movieposter.com is the only legit place that has it, which is $50 shipped. There are two sellers on ebay that has it, but one of them I was warned not to go through them, as they tend to ship international prints instead of the described US prints. I haven't heard back on the other seller. |
