Same here. I've only seen him in a couple things but I think he is suited for suiting up. Yes, I really said that. Plus, Logan Lerman has the double initial thing that comic book characters have (Peter Parker, Lex Luthor, Reed Richards, etc, etc).

Really looking forward to this reboot, especially if it is filmed in 3D.

I am still sore about Raimi's version of Spidey. Still a new one has a potential to be good and I hope it ends up good.

Raimi's version of Spidey was depressing but the first two movies are great though, but after spidey 3 its time to start fresh and that kid has the look of spidey written all over him, here's hoping he gets the job.

btw! They need to give this reboot the Incredible Hulk treatment so we may have The Lizard for the villain in this reboot.

The way "Incredible Hulk" was put together pretty much sucked too.
Besides, I hate the fact that this would be about this more of a "Spider-Man-kid".
Plus, why does it have to start over and over again?
They tried to make it look like that in the last Hulk-movie too.
Did a franchise finally get going, and they need to start it over again.
I mean, the story... I don't need multiple film-versions of the same story
just so they can attempt to "outperform" each other at the box-office and all.

By the way, spare some change?...

From what I' am hearing, it is true that he is the number 1 guy right now. But, and yes, there is a but. Justin Chatwin's name is being used a lot also along with this kid. Pretty much down between these two guys.

To me, it really don't matter because this reboot is going to blow.

I enjoy Raimi's Spiderman trilogy. I'd much prefer a Spidey 4 then another reboot movie. And I have a feeling that Sony's rebooting this movie to capitalize on the success of Twilight.

spider man 1 & 2 were awesome, i enjoyed #3 but it i was getting bored w/raimi's vision.

if a reboot is done well, the character could be fun and enjoyable again.

was the percy jackson kid any good in that movie???

The 3rd movie was the biggest problem for the Trilogy. People enjoyed the first, and definitely fell in love with the second movie, then came the 3rd and it was an abomination (maybe excessive) but trying to fit too much into a 2 hour movie and not closing the book on Uncle Ben's murder was just too much.

I don't understand this line of thought. Maybe if Raimi's films were the end all for someone I could see the disappointment that the character is going in another direction but to dismiss something when there's so little known about it. It's such a rich character with so many stories they could tell, why write it off so soon?

I've heard many movies that are being developed now being said that they are "capitalizing on the Twilight crowd." It's nothing new for Hollywood to target an audience that spends money. However I don't think this comparison necessarily applies here. Spider-man is much more successful than the Twilight series. I think Sony wants to reboot to follow the source material a bit more closely. This includes casting that more mirrors the look and personality of the comics. Of course it's anyone's guess as to how things are going to turn out, but I find it a good sign that they've met with Long time Spider-man writer Bendis to consult.

What does Spiderman have to do with Twilight?

Twilight = Sparkling Vampires & Gay Werewolves.
Spiderman = Boy bitten by radioactive spider and becomes a superhero.

Please explain to me how the two are related

Um...Spider-Man started out as a teenager in high school. Comics, cartoon and previous movie incarnation.

This has nothing to do with Twilight

He's meaning they're trying to appeal to that fan base. Make it more accessible to females 13 to whatever.

My point being that Spider-man's fan base is already larger than Twilight's.

Sorry, to keep going on this movie. lol

I'm pretty sure I'm in a minority for the people that didn't like the second Hulk-film better.
But I do know that it was overhyped because it was a lot more "blockbuster-ish", you know.
With the help of films such as 'Iron Man', it was supposed to be this huge thing too.
But it got nowhere near as good as 'Iron Man', unfortunately...
To me 'Hulk' was a lot more like 'Iron Man', just put them side by side, you could see what I mean.
Or the other way around, cause 'Iron Man' came later, but yeah...

But the point being, if this Spider-Man-film would be done like the last Hulk-film,
it wouldn't have much depth to it, it would be just this one film
and it will be all entertaining for a while with the action and some shallow drama.
But then a year later nobody is waiting for a sequel or anything, it will be quiet around it again.
