Yeah, i'm long overdue to take some updated snap shots of my setup. I have a new tv and bd player so i should probably do the same this weekend. I know what you mean by addiction. It's always nice to share what you have with the rest of us home theater nuts!

It is awesome but also expensive. I started last late last year and have changed out almost everything over the last few months. Changed Screen from grey to white, projector, speakers, blu player, directv hd dvr, etc.

I am very glad and lucky that my wife understands my addiction.

Okay... I have yet to see this film, but tonight (thanks to this thread), I will be at Wallyworld getting my copy at midnight. I totally bought and drank the hype machine Koolaide! Someone please tell me I wont be dissapointed with this release!!!

i am one of the lucky ones who live two streets from an amazon shipping facility. i do free super saver shipping and still get it on release day. i goot many of the releases in december a day ahead of time.

She saw Avatar with me in IMAX 3D three times and is dying to see it on blu - especially since i just got my new Samsung UN46B8500 and C6500 bluray player. Well for once i'm going to break my promise to wait for her i can't contain my excitement for this release...

Unless she looks like Angelina Jolie AND pee's gasoline, I'd say enjoy your're first viewing shortly after midnight!

Not so sure about your last statement. If you have an open mind then you will probably dislike Avatar's blatantly one-dimensional character portrayals and themes and its overtly preachy subtext. However, it is a visual spectacle the likes of which you have never before seen.

I've watched a big piece of the Benelux version, (actually the same disc as the German and French version) and yes, simply amazing, sounds and looks perfect, bla bla bla, can't we tell something new?

I got my copy coming from Amazon, but I might have to pick up a copy at midnight tonight and watch it. My brother's B-D is on Saturday and he could always use an extra gift.

My copy of Avatar is just 55.4 miles away at a UPS location, around an hour's drive. I wish I could just go pick it up...

This question goes for all that have their copies and have watched it on their systems... Do you think the transfer is as great as it is because of having no extras included, or could they have gotten away with the same transfer with the extras?

Add a second disc and that would solve the problem.
