To thebat2 - since you do not have the glasses, you cannot confirm that a 3D signal is being displayed correct?

I have 2 pairs of the xpand x102 and one pair of samsung ssg1000 glasses. That is why I don't need the glasses that come with the Monsters VS Aliens. Besides the new Samsung glasses won't work with my television.

Default Samsung DLP won't work with MITS 3D adapter

Big news from Mits is they have changed the software design of their upcoming 3D adapter (that's due out in June) so that it only works if connected to a Mits 3D-ready DLP. It specifically will not work Samsung DLPs. The 3D adapter will detect the brand of connected HDTV during the initial HDMI exchange and only work if it detects a compatible Mits model. So unless Samsung brings out their own adapter, then the best you can do with a Samsung 3D-ready DLP it to get a Panasonic 3D Blu-ray player and set it for checkboard output. However, this won't help if you were hoping to get 3D programs (e.g., ESPN 3D) from Directv or your cable TV company.

According to Penton-Man who checked with Sony - the PS3 will NOT do checkerboard for Blu-ray movies.

Their may be light at the end of the tunnel for Samsung 3D capable DLP owners!!! This article talks about the Tru3D solution but at the end of the article it states:

"Industry sources indicate (lower priced) cable/satellite solutions for listed Samsung HDTVs may become available in the near future. We will publish an update, if and when they are announced."
