That was announced already .

The only Corman movie I'd probably ever buy is Frankenstein Unbound. If it was to be released on BD. Which we all know there is probably ZERO chance of that happening.

I picked this one up yesterday, didn't get a real chance to watch it yet. Doesn't look like any DNR was applied which is a good thing. Seems to have a nice layer of film grain.

I liked the cover art a lot. The Roger Corman banner isn't very obtrusive.

I know Jackson County Jail is on Shouts list of Corman titles BD release unknown, if they do release it I hope it uses the original poster artwork.

Same here, just picked it up, will watch it another day.

Bring on Death Race 2000 with David Carradine (IIRC ??). Great B-movie! Will also prob. get Galaxy and Forbidden, not seen but what the hey.

Can't wait for Amazon to deliver my copy! I think this is my most anticipated Blu-ray yet! Of course, I've only been collecting Blu-rays for about 6 months, but that's besides the point :P

The PQ is strong. Some visible dirt during the opening credits and a blink and you could miss it scratch later in the film are the only flaws I noted. There was no DNR that I could see, the image was nicely grainy and very film like. For a low budget film from the 1970s, this is very likely the best it will ever look.

Some tidbits for the mods so they can update the movies page. This blu has a AVC video code and Dolby Digital 2.0 audio. That's the only audio option. Never seen this but I like older movies from the '70s and '80s.

I had to order my copy thru Barnes and Noble I used my discount and a 5.00 off coupon I had on it. I don't think Best Buy even stocked the blu at all. Most everyone got the DVD in the week before.

Looks like the Corman titles you'll have to order online or cross fingers for Best Buy stock or try say Barnes & Noble.

Target rarely gets any catalog titles that come out. Really the only blu's they get are ones that were just in the theater.

Praise Blu-Ray.com for informing me this has a Blu-Ray. Almost bought the Dvd the other day. I like it for the classic, Detroit Rock City like cover.

At least they're together again in Rock 'N' Roll Heaven. They'll all be greatly missed.

Default 40th anniversary of Rock n Roll High School

Has anyone heard anything about a remaster/special edition of 'Rock n Roll High School' this year?

It will have been 40 years this August 4th... it seems like the perfect time for a new edition, no?

Wound up spinning the disc tonight for the late, great Dick Miller. Jesus, there's so much talent in this flick. I had no idea that Dean Cundey and Rob Bottin both worked on it. Roger really knew how to find the tallent, didnt he?

Damn. RIP Dick Miller.

I saw the thread bump and got excited, hoping a new 4K restoration was mentioned. Then I get this bummer news.
