Default I'm still pre-High Definition Disk

As one who is totally neutral on format this quote describes where I
am at right now. I have a 50 inch plasma and an Oppo 980H feeding
it. It looks damn good with a well produced DVD. BD and HD disk
feed do look some better, but only maybe 10-15% I would say on
most movies. But if BD/HD movies were $15 and I could pick up a
good dual format player for $300 (roughly 2x what I paid for the Oppo)
I would jump in.

But I have to tell you the $100 HD-A2 really got my attention this
past week. I'm seriously thinking about jumping in with that and
see if maybe BD will follow. I hate to have 2 decks on my counter
just to play DVD, HD-DVD, and BD but I may do it. It seems a
reasonable, low risk start in an uncertain future for either of these
formats. As for sourcing I'd probably just go with NetFlix until the
format war takes it's toll. So my attach rate would be ZERO (for now).
