Nope I wasnt joking at all. I mean if Ryan Reynolds can play Green Lantern and Chris Evans can play Captain America, then Olivia can play Wonder Woman. Got Em!!
This is good news that DC is finally getting on the ball and making some movies based off their big Characters.
Seriously. It is about time they move away from just making Batman and Superman movies. I've always enjoyed Flash (though never read a Flash comic), so I am looking forward to this one.
Too bad they already mis-cast Ryan Reynolds as Green Lantern... he should've been The Flash, and Bradley Cooper should've been Lantern (it was down to those 2)... it sucks when you mis-cast one film, then the ripple effect begins...

That was one of my favorite shows back in the day. Mark Hamill was great as the trixter too. I have the series on dvd and hopeful it will get a blu release.
Warner Brothers Hires Green Lantern Writers for Green Lantern 2 and The Flash

The Martin Campbell-directed Green Lantern adaptation, which features Ryan Reynolds as the titular character, won’t hit theaters until June 17, 2011, but Warner Brothers is apparently so pleased with what they’ve seen so far, they’ve already hired Greg Berlanti, Michael Green, and Marc Guggenheim to get to work on Green Lantern 2. Heat Vision reports the news and points out that “development on a second installment this far out from a movie’s release date is rare.” Collectively, Berlanti, Green, and Guggenheim have an impressive array of properties under their belts. Berlanti was the creator of Everwood; Green was the writer/creator of the critically-acclaimed-but-canceled NBC show Kings; and Guggenheim has worked on Law & Order, Brothers & Sisters, and is executive producer on the forthcoming No Ordinary Family.
Disney/Marvel has already announced that it plans to mine its properties for some lesser-known characters to adapt to film. Over at Warners/DC, with Superman and Batman projects already in the works, it looks like The Flash might their next major superhero project. Although The Flash has had several aborted starts in the past, Berlanti was recently rumored to be one of the front-runners for the director’s chair.
Heat Vision posits that this has a great deal to do with the fact that Geoff Johns is now the chief creative officer at DC Entertainment. Johns was responsible for the 2009 miniseries The Flash: Rebirth. It is believed that the new Flash film would be based on the Barry Allen incarnation of The Flash (also the one that Johns uses). Since Allen and Hal Jordan (AKA The Green Lantern) are known to be friends in the comics, the potential for crossover could be significant. Thus, if Green Lantern is a hit in the way that Warners is hoping, it could be the start of more than one franchise.
At the DC Nation Comic Con Panel, the comic book writer briefly confirmed that work is moving ahead on a Flash movie and once again dropped hints that we'll see Batgirl outside of the comic books...
As I'm sure you'll have noticed by now, I've been posting some of the best bits of the comic book movie related panels at Comic Con directly from our friends at Newsarama who have been keeping us updated with several live feeds direct from the event. Well, in today's "DC Nation" panel, which wrapped about just a little while ago, I spotted the following:
Flash movie? Johns said that it's in the works, but he can't say anything about it. "There will be no running," he joked. "And his costume is gonna be blue. Is that cool?"
A familiar question from earlier today — "What happened to Cassandra Cain?" A different answer — "You'll see outside of comics in something I'm working on," Johns said.
I'm sure we can all agree that it's great to hear further confirmation that DC/WB are still moving ahead with bringing the character to the big screen! Perhaps just as interesting is the fact that Johns once again mentions Cassandra Cain (Batgirl) after the site yesterday reported, Cassandra Cain fans will be very happy to hear there are apparently plans for her outside of comics. A replacement for Smallville perhaps?
Aw hell lets just have Reynolds play every superhero from now on lol. I think he would be great as The Flash so why the hell not. He is already couple different heros why not add another.
So Ryan Reynold will play every DC superhero and Chris Evans will play every Marvel superhero. They've even crossed over....Hannibal King, Deadpool, Jensen (The Losers)....
