I havn't kept up with who is expected to go #1 for the MLB Draft which I think is tonight. Can someone fill me in? Looks like Washington has the top pick again followed by Pittsburgh and Baltimore.

Braves don't get a 1st round pick due to the Wagner trade.

Counting supplemental picks the Angels have 5 and Jays have 4 1st round picks.

Bryce Harper 17 year old phenom who is crushing 22 year olds in JoCo..

Then we have a toss up between Jameson Taillon, Manny Machado I for one would hope we'd take Machado who could be our SS for a long time.

Then from what I've read past those top 3 their really isn't much separating the rest of the pack

People are going to be underwhelmed seeing Strasburg tomorrow. He will be on a strict pitch limit basically the entire season, so never expect him to top five or six innings. I wonder if they juice the radar guns for him. People love seeing that "100" flash on the board.

I know from our coverage here he's not only on a pitch count, but a start count as-well.

Exactly, he will probably only pitch 4-5 innings tomorrow. I don't know, I feel like the Pirates are either going to slap him around pretty good, or Strasburg will strike out 10+. Who knows, we are closing in on first pitch time in Washington, can't wait.

Is he some kind of fast ball only pitcher? If so, I'd be surprised to even see him go 4-5 innings, guys like that tend to wear out their arms in 2-3 innings, not 4-5.

Interesting. Looks like Delino DeShields has a son projected to go top 10. His dad was a decent player. Too bad he's only known as the guy who was traded for Pedro Martinez in one of the most lopsided trades ever.

They don't draft until #30. Doubt anyone else really cares. When it comes to MLB drafts all most people pay attention to is the top 5 or 10 picks.

In MLB it takes 5-10 years to even have a clue whether a team had a good draft.

I doubt "big trades" especially since I don't know of any player who goes right to the majors that year which I would guess is what you'd want if you were making a run.

But from what the guys on MLBN said this draft isn't loaded with hitters which means pitchers will fall which could be great for the contenders who are far down in the draft
