I saw it as well yesterday, but not one of my favorites...so it wouldn't be in my collection anyways.
Did anyone see the trailer for the new Fox movie "Jumper" with Haden Christiansen? That looked like it might be very entertaining! Here's a link to the trailer: http://www.apple.com/trailers/fox/jumper/ |

oh well, there's just another reason i won't go see it or buy it. The boycott continues. They won't receive a penny from me.

![]() Now please read the Wikipedia entry on the origin of this storyline. It is indeed basic, but for all the reasons you probably don't know. And Beowulf will be out on Blu-ray in Europe, quite possibly region-free, too. So there will be the import option before Paramount starts releasing Blu-ray titles again Stateside. |

This will be out in 4-6 months on DVD like most movies, so I wouldn't hold my breath for Paramount to flip flop again by then. |

Yeah, there are a number of films I have been boycotting for political reasons as well. But Paramount and Dreamworks have really irritated me so they get nothing from my wallet. It's the only power I have as a consumer.

Not living in the States, and being a film critic with a free cinema pass and access to press screenings, I really don't pick and choose my films based on studios. As a Blu-ray fan, I know which of those I'll be able to enjoy in the (better) environment of my home theatre, but those that are a long shot I just see theatrically as much as I can.
After all, it's not Joe Wright's fault that Universal produced his masterful, masterful Atonement; neither is Zemeckis to blame that Paramount paid for his Beowulf, which features CGI work by none other than Sony Pictures Imageworks. I've met many of the people making these and other good non-Blu films over the years, and it's them I don't want to boycott, not the stupid, corrupt bosses of their studios' home entertainment divisions. |

I thouroughly enjoyed this movie, or course there was cartoony moments ... dont tell anybody, but it was animation. Im sure that secret will crash the stock market. There were no lifeless eyes i was paying attention to that , and the mild mannerism of the actors came out as well. There were a few moments were I thought I was watching a stylized movie ala 300 or Sin City. This movie screams bluray, even though im 90-10 onmy hd collection in favor of blue I have to see this in HD in whatever format it is released on
