It is pricey at around $35 but if you simply just don't want to participate in the exchange, go for it.

My advice: just buy the US version now then do the exchange.

You're not going to know until you get it. If the copy you get has the yellow UPC symbol, then you got the remastered copy. If not, then you could either return it or participate in the exchange program through Paramount.

I'm guessing the only way to tell if Amazon has the new copy is to check the ASIN number? The current one listed is B000NU2CY4 I'm guessing the new copy should have a different one.

Because it may be the only way to insure that you get the new version if, you're like me, must mail order it.

But this exercise is moot if it turns out that there's some other way to identify the new version other than a yellow UPC. I'll hold off going this route until I know for sure.

The current/old Gladiator release must be pretty good if you need to put vaseline on the screen to make it look bad.
