The ps3 has a very good lineup of games between now and the end of the year. We need to get Home going. Sony needs to get the dualshock 3 over here in the states. Other then those two issues and future firmware updates, I don't know what more sony can do for the ps3. We have a newer model at an affordable price. Microsoft is going to combat all this some how, maybe.

Microsoft will inevitably pay more and more money to try and keep their system ahead of the PS3. This will be like Microsoft paying off Paramount for exclusive HD-DVD support, or Microsoft paying off Rockstar for a Grand Theft Auto IV exclusive level.

The way I see it, the PS3 is still lacking in games, exclusive or not. The only thing most PS3's have is PS2 game playback (game-wise). But with a lower price on the development kit, more studios should be able to start developing games and other content for the PS3.
I agree, we need Home and the DualShock 3! Also a few other upgrades on the firmware (like folders, DTS HD MA, etc.) would help. But I still think we need more titles or the PS3 to help promote not only the PS3, but also Blu-ray even more.

When people say this I really have to ask what are their expectations for games and how games do they buy per month to say their there is nothing out right now.

I want exclusive games I cannot get elsewhere. I am an achievement ***** on the 360 so any game that is cross-platform will be gotten on my microsoft box. Beyond that I want some good racing games. Bring me Gran Turismo 5. I don't care about RPG's and I don't care about FPS's because I have plenty of those already.

Xbox 360 had terrible games at launch, and it took about a year to get good games for that system. Then they have this (silly) add-on HD drive. PS3 was a great machine even for people that bought it early. I bought mine when they went to $499, and I got 5 free movies. Actually, one of the movies was "Species", so make that 4 free movies.

Hopefully the smaller independent developers will be able to afford the kits now and create some interesting games.

What we need also are exclusive games such as Uncharted Drake's Fortune and Gran Turismo because if the game is exclusive then playing it on the ps3 is the only way to go.

Ok now all we need is the wii to put the 360 in 2nd which will be soon and then the ps3 to put the 360 in third and if it does really well the wii will be 2nd.

The ps3 has to beat the wii. How to do this, I don't know. The wii is nearly untouchable.
