A real shame Morrow lost his no hitter in the 9th, but seventeen strikeouts is still damn impressive. We have a lot of young talent to nurture, the future is looking good for the Jays.

Toronto has really exceeded all expectations this year. I, along with most people it seems assumed the Jays were in for a prolonged rebuilding period. I thought they might actually finish last, even below Baltimore this year. Never thought they had a chance at finishing above .500. Very good year all around.

I can't wait for Drabek to come up, his potential is through the roof. I still can't believe the Phillies gave him up, when it became known that the Halladay trade was going to happen I thought they'd give up Happ.

I think the Phillies made a lot of really poor decisions in regards to their starting pitching moves this year. They could have kept Cliff Lee (giving up no prospects and for less money than Oswalt) and probably gotten Halladay for less. Instead they ended up giving up a lot of good prospects to get Halladay and Oswalt. And I really consider Lee a superior pitcher at this point to Oswalt. I'd be very surprised if Drabek isn't at least a solid #2 or #3 type starter with a good chance of being an ace.

Awesome performance by Morrow today. Even if Hill comes up with the diving play in the 9th I still don't think they get Longoria at 1st. At least he got the CG shutout.

I'm really liking the team this year. I just hope Wells will recover fast after dislocating his big toe, making a great catch at the wall in center.

Keep it going against the RedSox.

Damn, Yanks are rolling the Red Sox tonight. Very surprising considering Beckett is pitching for the Sox and a fill-in guy Moseley for the Yankees.

Not looking forward to this 3 game series with the White Sox, will be happy if we take 2 out of 3 with the pitching lineup we're using. Expect to take 2 of 3 or 3 of 3 from Oakland.

I was extremely impressed by Moseley. Beckett just didn't have it for some reason. I was worried about Moseley and the outcome was the complete opposite.

I feel sorry for Morrow, but he shut down the Rays who have now lost 4 in a row. Morrow also had a no hitter in '08 going against the Yankees. Wilson Betemit broke it up though.

Another thing I've been noticing is there have been a lot of no hitters and perfect games as of late. They are really not as rare as they used to be. It seems like I'm hearing about a no hitter every month or so. There's been 2 perfect games this year and 2 no hitters. And we all know that Galarraga should have had his name added to the list as well.

Becket gets owned by the Yankees... think the announcers said his ERA againt the Yanks is like 5.00.... something close to that

The Mariners fired Don Wakamatsu, as well as their pitching coach, bench coach, and performance coach. It's interesting how fast Wakamatsu fell out of favor in Seattle. Last year he was incredibly popular but the team flopped horribly this year despite having playoff aspirations.

Wow... you weren't kidding. Looked it up and here are Beckett's career stats against the Yankees. Weird that his ERA is 6.23 yet he has a 9-7 Win-Loss record. Must just get a LOT of run support.

I think those numbers are regular season only. He did own the Yankees in the 2003 World Series.
