I can't find any info on deal on their site. Where is it?

As far as I know you have to pay $200 and the 2 year contract in order to get the HD DVR unless you already have DirecTV and are just upgrading. Otherwise you can only get the HD receiver (sans DVR) for free.

Note that you can float the commitment if needed. For example, if you remodel your home and cannot use the service for a year while construction is in progress, they will suspend billing during that period. I say that because you can use that float concept in case you hit a financial problem and cannot pay the $60 monthly for a period of time. Anything can happen in your life 1-2 yrs down the line. You're still locked in...but having breathing room if needed.
