Hmm, all the Avatar Collector's Edition content that has been rated by the BBFC has been deleted from their site.

Even the pre-order listings from that south african site (on the main pages news article from yesterday) were deleted.

Guess Fox felt their thunder was stolen.

Again, unnoficial, as that site doesn't have the full specs listed, but I hope the last one is right. I loved how the LOTR Extended DVDs had tons of artwork galleries, so Id love for this to have something similar, especially since the guys at Weta said there are 1000s of unseen concept arts for the movie

Will be picking this up for sure.

Anyone see the Avatar fleshlight? Now that's just crossing the line.

I just noticed this on the link I posted above:

Quote:
Availability: 20 December 2010
Either its a mistake, or perhaps the release date has been pushed back?(20th is a monday, which is normal for the UK, would be 21st in the US)

Could that explain why there has yet to be an official announcement and pre-orders have yet to be opened? And perhaps why Fox are zapping up mentions of the blu-rays contents? Even the article from the front page has been deleted.

Pre-ordering was already up on the South African site. I don't see why they would want to change the date now. Cameron already said in EVERY SINGLE interview that it would be released in November.

They deleted the item from that South African website though, you can no longer pre-order it there.

I dunno, it doesnt make sense to me that Fox would take down info about the Collectors Edition from a bunch of sites (including this one) if they were going to announce it just a few days later.

Its just a feeling though. I could be totally wrong.

I also noticed that the release date for the barebones edition was 4 days late in the UK on April 26th. Maybe the release date will be November 20th in the UK and the site accidentally set the wrong month?

Imagine a steelbook in Avatar Collector's Edition, it'd be mind-boggling.

Whops, I misread. The effects of looking at number all day is that they all start to blur together, or that could just be the drugs I just had.

Default Avatar blu ray resolution vs. cinema resolution

Which had higher resolution? The blu-ray release or when it was played in theatres?

Default the last "New"s deleted

Hi! Anyone knows why is the last news article (in Collectors edition blu-ray) "deleted" ? It's really annoying me. And what is really annoying me is the date of release in UK! Is it true that its coming out in December?
